I used that same chalking technique from the butterfly tag on these birthday cards. It is the same Darice embossing folder, but I used the whole folder this time. On the tag, I could only use a small portion of it.
This is a place where I can share my love for my wonderful husband and son, papercrafting and photography.

Shading with chalk
I participated in a tag swap. Theme was Autumn/Thanksgiving.
I choose a butterfly embossing folder by Darice that I used white cored DCWV cardstock. I sanded it to make the higher images pop. I chalked with a darker autumn colored orange. Then, shaded with gray chalk over the butterflies and dots. I used the SU! butterfly punch and adhered it with pop dots to make it look 3D on the tag.
I finished the butterfly with Stickles and more chalk. I stamped the sentiment ( The Angel Company ).
I embellished the tag with ribbons from American Crafts and CTMH.

Halloween decoration idea....
Great Halloween idea......
At least maybe for next year. Look for all of the markdowns with getting rid of the Halloween decorations in the stores.

Amy Joy Donuts
On Facebook, I am a member of a group of " You know you grew up Essex, Maryland, if..... ". I ran across this photo on the site. I remember going to this place to get donuts before church for breakfast or for a Saturday treat. They had the best pink frosted donuts.
Yum!
I have to add this photo to my Book of Me scrapbook.
Sunrise...
I captured this shot right before I went into my work building on Thursday. No filters. Love all of the colors. It has been so dreary the last few weeks. Glad the sun finally came out. :)
Eeeck......
Some decorations at my workplace. With this new phone app ( retro camera ), it really makes them look eery. :)
The bats are made out of old xray film. ( I am xray tech. )

Breast Cancer Awareness
I picked up an applique that you are suppose to sew a shirt or top at Jo-Ann's on Sunday. I decided to wear it on my name tag for October.
My best friend is a survivor of breast cancer ( Stage 3 ). She was diagnosed in 2008.

Run, Joseph, Run....
Joseph then and now
My hubby working with the Pazzles Creative Cutter
We have had the Pazzles Creative Cutter since 2008 or so. I can never get the hang it. My hubby has "played" with it more than I have. He decided to see if he could use a pen with it. I vaguely remember reading you could use a pen with it. Don got it to "write" and "draw".
He later also got the Pazzles to cut these images out, too, after he "drew" them. :)
I found one of my first cards I made.....
I have come a long way...........
I did all of the chalking. I hand drew in the crosses and wrote the sentiment.
