Christmas cards 2013

I made two different cards that I mailed out friends and family this year.

One is more detailed. Heat embossed card. I planned to do this for ALL of our cards, but realized that it was too time consuming. I had to come up with another design...quickly.

I made 30 of these cards.

These are 3 stamped images layered.

Heat embossed card. I only made 10 of these.

Christmas Day table is ready......

I love the way the early afternoon sun shines through the crystal. It makes everything shiny and glimmery.

Christmas ornaments...

I did the Christmas ornaments tutorial that I shared earlier this month.

Well.... I had to do some tweeking on some of the instructions. Better glue. Get the Dremel tool out. Better snow.

The trees to put inside the ornaments. The tall tree is 1 1/2 inches in height. The smaller trees are 1 inch tall.

Finally inside the ornaments. Yes, I got them in those ornaments.

 My sisters and nieces {loved} them! They loved the etching, too.

Note: My husband etched the "2013" into the ornaments. The bulbs did not come like that.

I have begun to post our Christmas cards up on the wall outside our kitchen.

My birthday card

Our son wrote the poem on my card. He is 16 yrs old now.

He still pulls on my heart strings.

My birthday cake....

My hubby made this cake.

I wanted a spice cake with apple filling. I think he did good!!! The cake looked too good to sample, but we had a slice anyway. :)

I am working on my Christmas card that we will be sending out to family, friends and papercrafters.

Which one do you like?

The one with the gold thread or not? I am trying to simulate the ornament hanging on a tree.

My hubby does not like the gold thread one.
