Gone Batty at Work

When you work in radiology, you can get crafty there, too. 

I re-purposed discarded radiographic film that was going to be recycled.

I made these bats at least 6 years ago from radiographic film. 

They will keep forever!

Since it is October, it was time to decorate radiology with the bats. My fellow co-workers were happy to see the bats on the walls.

Baby Girl Shower

I made the baby girl shower card and coordinating gift tags for our coworker baby shower. His wife was due in about two weeks.

The baby elephant is a Martha Stewart punch. I like how the elephant ear is cut out and you can pull it out to make it look 3-D.

Supplies used:

SU! cardstock for the cardbase, elephant and gift tag base.
SU! sentiment
Prima Flowers
Offray ribbon
Liquid Pearls for the flower centers
Embossing powder: not going to mention the manufacturer. It is a very poor quality powder. Thank goodness I don't have a large quantity of it
Zigwriter for the black dots
Scor-tape for adhesives

Halloween Goodies Found......

These are my Halloween goodies that I found at Michaels the other day.

The large variety of Halloween/Fall themed ribbon was huge. AND it was only .99 per roll. I selected the rhinestone trim in colors that I can use throughout the year on my cards. The others, of course, are for Fall/Halloween.

In the wreath section, I found these cool wooden jack-o-lanterns and wooden mini bats. Great ideas for cards and scrapbook pages. They were on sale, too. I bought the last 2 bags of bats. They must have been really popular with everyone else, too.

Our Anniversary

I love the Project Life App. This is one of the greeting cards you can create on the phone app.

Even though our wedding was in 1993. It is nice to still have fun with our wedding photos and create new layouts.

Autumn is near!

I have noticed over the last few weeks that the leaves are started to turn. It is really early for them to do this in NC. Our "fall" is not until October/November. We had a couple of cool nights last week. I hope that didn't trigger autumn to come. We have had some hot days since then.( Back in the high 90's )

It rained yesterday. The work parking lot was covered in gold leaves. This leaf was near my car.

I am ready for Autumn.
