This is a place where I can share my love for my wonderful husband and son, papercrafting and photography.

Just like that......
| Crashed when he got home from testing... |
Like that........ he is in the USCG.
He had to lose 10 pounds about 7 months ago to be in the weight range.
He did better than that.
He lost 25 pounds!
He is awaiting security clearance.
Then, he will get billet school assignment, then basic training assignment.
We were told that we will have him home through Christmas.
Late January/early February is probably when he will ship out.
What am I going to do? ;*(

Has Autumn finally arrived?
Finally the temperature is cooler.
The leaves are showing their colors slowly but surely.
Going to be in the high 30's tonight.
Wahoo!!
It has been great to have the windows open 24/7 the last few days, too.
Last night's visitors
A large herd of deer came and feasted on the fallen acorns in the back of our property last night.
I was only able to capture a few of them on film before they scurried away back into the dark woods.
They were so peaceful and innocent.
Nibbling away.
Hearing them crunching on the nuts.

Seamstress. A lost art.
During our visit to our State Fair, I always like to see the handmade clothing for competition.
This won First Prize.
A wedding dress.
The detail is amazing.
Below are photos I converted to black and white photography.
The b/w photos show the intricate design and details.
Being a seamstress is a lost art.
This is art.
A rose is a rose
Our State Fair started October 11. We usually go every other year.
We really enjoy visiting the rose garden competition among the State's growers.
These are some of the roses.
Their aromas are unbelievably breathtaking. I could have stayed there for hours.
It was raining off and on today.
The raindrops added highlights to their blooms and leaves.
Enjoy!
