We had to learn to be a married couple again without children. It is amazing how having a child can change a marriage and the marital relationship. We have gotten to know each other again.
Besides that big upset, my college classes have been kicking my butt this semester. I probably say this each semester, but....... this semester is the most challenging: mentally. I am taking Data Analysis and Teaching Strategies. My teaching class: my final project is do a powerpoint presentation with a voice over and "teach" my topic. Data analysis is basically statistics; math is not my strong point. You are talking to a person who took Geometry as the highest math in high school. Forget Algebra II or Calculus. Me in 1984, graduating high school, I won't use Algebra II or Calculus or Statistics as an adult.
Oh, yeah. My supervisory position at work has become more demanding, too. Not like I don't have enough on my plate already. I have 16 annual performance evaluations to write and conduct and two policies to write and submit for review in a month!!!!!

The good thing in all of this turmoil? Joe graduates next week. My husband and I are taking a road trip to New Jersey to see him graduate. We will have 10 days with him before our son ships out to Petaluma, California for A-School in culinary. Joe is continuing his career in culinary. He will be gone for 13 weeks. The journey continues for him. We will have to wait until then to see where he will get his orders from the USCG.
